Beginning Monday, the Idaho Transportation Department will commence construction of a traffic island on U.S. Highway 91 at Bullock Street in Chubbuck. The goal is to reinforce existing restrictions that prevent unsignalized left turns onto Bullock Street.

The project, which will replace yellow tubular markers with a concrete island, is expected to last up to two weeks, subject to weather conditions.

During this period, the southbound left turn lane from Yellowstone Avenue to Breneman Street, as well as to nearby businesses like Walmart, will be closed. Additionally, the leftmost northbound lane on Yellowstone will be closed to permit the necessary working space for the construction teams.
