The on-ramp to westbound Interstate 84 at the Heyburn Interchange will close for repaving on Sunday night. The closure will be effective from 6 p.m. on Sunday until 7 a.m. on Monday. Drivers heading west will be rerouted to the Declo Interchange (Exit 216), roughly five miles to the east, where they can safely switch directions.

Current traffic conditions on I-84 maintain two lanes in each direction with a reduced speed limit of 65 miles per hour. The ongoing construction at the Heyburn and Burley Interchanges aims to address increasing traffic demands. This project is part of Idaho Governor Little’s Leading Idaho transportation funding initiative, which fosters safety enhancements, improved mobility, economic growth, and benefits for the Magic Valley and statewide communities.

Further information about the project can be found at itdprojects.idaho.gov/projects/i-84-burley-and-heyburninterchanges. Updates on this closure and others will be available at 511.idaho.gov.
