Introducing Becka Sidell who is majoring in the College of Education's Workplace Training and Leadership (WTL) program.
Being a full-time mom, student, and ISU employee, Becka has found the WTL program to be a second home. As she explained, "As a non-traditional student, I have found a home in the WTL program. Being able to pursue my education while also working full-time and taking care of my other responsibilities has been fantastic."
Becka is set to graduate next December, but says in the meantime she enjoys how kind, understanding and enthusiastic about teaching her professors have been. She also explains that many students in the WTL program are comprised of other working professionals who also have other obligations outside of school. "That has been a nice bonus to feel like I am in a group of individuals who understand the balancing act of being a non-traditional student," added Becka.
