Raekwon Weatherspoon has been named the Mountain West Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week, according to an April 14 announcement from conference officials.

The recognition comes after Weatherspoon delivered a record-tying performance at the Texas A&M 44 Farms Invitational. His achievements highlight his ongoing success in collegiate track and field competitions this season.

Weatherspoon improved his previous long jump mark by 0.11 meters, reaching a distance of 7.89 meters. This leap ties Boise State’s all-time record and stands as the best mark in the Mountain West this season by a margin of 0.38 meters. Nationally, it is tied for seventh place among collegiate athletes.

He is also noted as being the first Boise State athlete to earn back-to-back Mountain West Field Athlete of the Week honors, and he is the first in conference history to do so since Texas Tanner received consecutive awards on May 6 and May 13, 2025.

The Boise State track and field team will compete next at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California, scheduled for April 16-18.
