The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced the results of its 2024 state ballot, showcasing the preferences of its Idaho members on several key issues.

When asked whether Idaho should require employers to disclose salary ranges and benefits on job postings, 73% voted against it, while only 17% supported the idea. A minority of 10% were undecided.

Another issue addressed was whether businesses in Idaho should be mandated to accept cash as a form of payment. Here, a significant majority of 69% agreed with the proposition, whereas 27% opposed it. Only 4% remained undecided.

Lastly, members were questioned about levying a payroll tax to create a new revenue stream aimed at funding childcare services. An overwhelming 89% rejected this proposal, with merely 8% in favor and another 3% undecided.

These results reflect the stance of NFIB's Idaho membership on these topics as they head into the new year.
