U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho) has issued a statement expressing his opposition to a provision in the Senate reconciliation bill that proposes the sale of public lands.
“After reviewing the Senate Energy and Natural Resources reconciliation language, I do not support the proposed provision to sell public lands,” said Risch.
Out of the $8.3 billion in total tax revenue collected by Idaho in 2024, $6.1 million came from corporations in general license taxes, representing an increase from the previous year, when the total was $6 million, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Annual Survey of State Government Tax Collections (STC).
