The Idaho women’s tennis team will travel to Phoenix, Arizona for the 2026 Big Sky Championships, according to an April 22 announcement. The tournament is scheduled from April 23 through April 25 at the Phoenix Tennis Center.

This event marks the end of Idaho’s spring season and offers the team a chance to compete against other conference opponents in a postseason setting. Matches will begin each day at 8:00 a.m. local time and continue into the morning until completion. Idaho’s first match is set against Eastern Washington on Thursday, April 23 at 8 a.m.

Throughout their spring campaign, Idaho posted a balanced record of ten wins and ten losses overall, with four wins and four losses in conference play. The team’s season featured notable individual performances and progress in doubles matches, which have been identified as important factors for success during tournament play.

Facing several top programs within their conference during regular-season competition has given Idaho valuable experience heading into the championship bracket. This exposure is expected to help them as they look to challenge higher-seeded teams during this week’s tournament.

With postseason experience and steady improvement throughout the year, Idaho aims to build on its regular-season efforts and pursue an extended run in the Big Sky Championships.
