Winter Weather Arrives! 

National Weather Service (Idaho): Rain and snow will continue across central and southern portions through early Thursday. Snow levels will lower to valley floors at times with minor accumulations possible. Central and eastern mountains will see the heaviest snowfall through Thursday morning. Cold and dry weather will settle over the state late in the week and through the weekend with temperatures 10 to 15 degrees below normal into next week.

Troopers will work our roadways to help those in need & respond to accidents. Give them space!

-Drive for conditions: Adjust your driving to handle changing conditions.

-Recognize the dangers: Know your abilities, roadway conditions, vehicle handling, and limitations.

-Avoid distractions: Focus on the road & stay alert for potential hazards.

-Increase your time & space: Slow down & drive at a safe speed.

Porterville Road Bridge over I-15 closed after vehicle strikes girder

The Porterville Road Bridge over Interstate 15, located north of Blackfoot, is closed after a backhoe being transported by a semi-truck struck the bridge from below on Tuesday evening.
