Governor Little announces members of advanced nuclear energy task force

Governor Brad Little has announced the members of the newly established Advanced Nuclear Energy Task Force, which will hold its first meeting on Monday. The announcement follows the signing of Executive Order 2025-06 on September 22, 2025, which created the task force.

The purpose of the task force is to assess, recommend, and support strategies that promote Idaho’s leadership in nuclear energy innovation, deployment, and workforce development. Staff from the Governor’s Office of Energy and Mineral Resources (OEMR) and the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) are supporting the group.

The initial meeting is scheduled for February 2, 2026, at the Lincoln Auditorium in the Idaho State Capitol from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mountain Time. Virtual access will be available at https://www.idahoptv.org/shows/idahoinsession/ww02/. Public comment is set for the end of the meeting; those wishing to speak must sign up at the door. Written comments can be submitted via email to comments@oer.idaho.gov.
