District 3 hosted a Probation & Parole specialist academy the week of October 17.

The training was a huge success and provided an outstanding networking opportunity for this frontline role for IDOC.

The Probation & Parole specialist position got its start in District 3 and District 6 and has been a huge success in our efforts to increase success for our clients.  Now, these positions are in every district.  Regardless of district boundaries, this group will be able lean on each other when needed.

Special thanks to Jamie Pennington, Maria Vega-Cordoba, and Sylvia Renteria who spent weeks planning and organizing the academy.

Private business, watch out -you won’t be able to hold a candle in customer service to our statewide P & P Specialist team!
