Washington, D.C.–U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) invites Idaho college-aged students to apply for internships in his Washington, D.C., and state offices.  Applications for the Fall 2023 term are still being accepted on a rolling and case-by-case basis.  Applications for the Spring 2024 term are now open and the application will close on October 15, 2023.

“I served an internship on Capitol Hill for then-Representative Orval Hansen of Idaho’s Second Congressional District, and that eye-opening experience helped spur my interest in the political process and public service,” said Crapo.  “Whether the goal is entering the workforce or continuing studies in graduate school, an internship is an excellent way to explore possible career options while gaining valuable life experience.”

Former interns in Senator Crapo’s office have gone on to work in public relations, news organizations, in city planning offices in Idaho, and in public service.  While interning in the Washington, D.C., office, students may assist with legislative issues, communications, and conducting administrative work and constituent outreach.  State-based interns will get to dive deeper into local constituent meetings and outreach.
