The City of Idaho Falls, Bonneville County, and the City of Ammon announced on May 13 that they will host a regional Street Summit on Monday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. The event aims to inform the public about upcoming summer road construction projects throughout the region.
The summit will take place in the Bonneville County Commissioner’s Hearing Room. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be livestreamed and recorded for later viewing on the Bonneville County Commissioners’ YouTube channel.
According to organizers, this Street Summit is part of a wider effort among local agencies to improve coordination and transparency regarding transportation and infrastructure work. The goal is to give residents more consistent information about roadway improvements, traffic impacts, and planned infrastructure projects during the 2026 construction season.
The agenda includes a general welcome followed by brief presentations from each participating agency highlighting major transportation initiatives. Attendees will have opportunities for both general questions during a Q&A session as well as one-on-one discussions with staff members.
Each agency has also committed to sharing regional construction updates online so residents can access interactive maps for all three jurisdictions through their respective websites. Links to these resources are provided by each agency.
