Boise State track and field records four personal bests at Portland Twilight

The Boise State track and field team recorded four personal records at the Portland Twilight meet on May 9. The event in Portland, Oregon, was the final competition for the Broncos before they head to the Mountain West Outdoor Championships scheduled for May 14-16.

This meet provided an opportunity for athletes to improve their times ahead of championship season. Senior Noelani Krauss posted a collegiate-leading time and a personal record of 2:06.81 in the women’s 800 meters. In the men’s division, freshman Drew Bradeson achieved a personal best with a time of 1:51.39 in the same event.

The women’s 1,500 meters saw two more Broncos set new personal marks. Senior Nanette Novak finished second among collegiate runners with a time of 4:20.71, while junior Bianca Boehnke placed third with her own best mark of 4:22.05.

Other notable performances included Gabriella Chiara finishing tenth in the women’s 800 meters with a time of 2:13.99, Emmeline Hamm placing fourth in the women’s 1,500 meters at 4:28.43, and Isabella Frisone coming sixth at 4:28.87 in that same race among collegians.

On the men’s side, Shawn Jones secured ninth place in the men’s 800 meters clocking in at 1:53.41.

The team will next compete at Fresno, California during the Mountain West Outdoor Championships from May 14 to May 16.
