Boise State lost to San Diego State by a score of 5-1 on April 25. The game took place in San Diego and saw the Broncos’ only run come from a home run by Mya Flindt.

The outcome is significant for both teams as they continue their seasons in the Mountain West conference. Boise State now holds a record of 21-30 overall and 7-14 in conference play, while San Diego State stands at 23-23 overall and 8-13 in the Mountain West.

San Diego State scored multiple runs during both the first and third innings against Olivia Bauer, who is now credited with her eighth loss of the season. Flindt’s home run marked her team-leading thirteenth homer this year. Kate Penberthy also contributed with a double, continuing her streak of extra-base hits for nine consecutive games.

The series between Boise State and San Diego State will conclude on Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for noon Pacific Time or one p.m. Mountain Time.
