Boise State beach volleyball will compete in the 2026 Big 12 Beach Volleyball Championship presented by Allstate, beginning Thursday, April 23, in Tucson, Arizona. The two-day event will feature all matches streamed on ESPN+.

The championship involves six teams split into two pools for Thursday’s pool play. Based on results from pool play, all teams will advance to a single-elimination bracket on Friday. Boise State has been awarded the No. 5 seed and is scheduled to face top-seeded Florida State at 10 a.m. Mountain Time and No. 4 South Carolina at 12:30 p.m., with seeding determined by votes from head coaches.

The Broncos enter the tournament with a record of 19-13. During the season, they split their duals against South Carolina but lost both matches against Florida State. The lineup for Boise State includes Allyson Alden and Addison Wolden as the No.1 pair; Avery Allen and Ava Anderson as No.2; Keira Demirjian and Serena van der Made as No.3; Addison Moss and Elli Wolthuis as No.4; Charlee Ellena and Lily Patock as No.5.

This week, Boise State earned its highest program ranking at No.18 in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll released Tuesday—the third time this season that the team has appeared in these rankings alongside all other Big 12 programs.

Last weekend at the Alki Invitational, Boise State finished undefeated with four wins—including victories over ranked opponents Washington (No.19) and Florida Atlantic (No.15). These wins brought their total number of ranked victories this year to four—a new single-season record for the program.

Looking ahead to postseason opportunities, Boise State is currently considered “on the bubble” for an at-large bid to the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship field of sixteen teams—eight automatic qualifiers plus eight at-large selections—with no automatic bid granted to Big 12 champions.

Senior Ava Anderson enters this weekend tied with Emilia Guerra-Acuna for most career victories in program history (84) and holds a team-best season mark of 23-9 while playing at position two.

Additionally, Allyson Alden launched a ‘Block Party’ fundraiser earlier this year supporting BroncoBOLD by collecting donations pledged per ace or block she records during her final season; so far she has achieved totals of sixty-seven aces and seventy-one blocks.
