A Boise resident, Corey Dryden, has claimed the last top prize of $1,000,000 from the Idaho Lottery Scratch game “$1,000,000 Cash.” Dryden purchased the winning ticket at the Albertsons Marketplace on Broadway in Boise last Friday night.

“I was getting a few things from the store before the big Boise State game and had a feeling I should buy a ticket,” Dryden said. “I already had a $50 winning ticket that I cashed in and got another ticket. This is the first ticket I’ve ever purchased at Albertsons. I just had a feeling I needed to get a ticket there when I got our groceries.”

After scratching his ticket in his vehicle and scanning it with the Idaho Lottery app, Dryden discovered he had won $1 million.

“I called my wife to tell her I’d won. I was so serious at first, she thought someone had died,” he said.

Dryden stated that he plans to invest his winnings for his family’s future.

Albertsons will receive a $20,000 bonus from the Idaho Lottery for selling the winning ticket.

The Idaho Lottery offers games such as Powerball, Mega Millions, Scratch GamesTM, and PullTabs. The organization aims to provide entertaining games while maximizing funds for Idaho public schools and its permanent building fund. Since 1989, it has sold more than $6.2 billion in products and distributed over $1.3 billion in dividends to support public education and infrastructure across Idaho.
