The Big Sky Conference announced its annual All-Conference awards for men’s and women’s tennis on April 22, recognizing standout players from the 2026 season. Idaho’s men’s tennis team saw two of its athletes, Chetanna Amadike and Gabriel Moroder, honored both as singles players and as a doubles pair.

These recognitions highlight the achievements of Idaho’s team during a competitive season. The awards are seen as a testament to the hard work and performance of the student-athletes representing their university.

Chetanna Amadike, Idaho’s senior captain, was unanimously named to the All-Conference First Team for singles after finishing his final season with a 15-9 record. He secured notable victories in the top singles position against ranked opponents such as Boise State and Gonzaga. Amadike also tied both program and league records by earning four individual Big Sky Player of the Week honors this year. “In his last ten matches, he excelled, with a 7-3 record,” according to the announcement.

Gabriel Moroder received an All-Conference Second Team nod after posting a 12-11 overall record in singles play, including five wins out of six matches within conference competition. In addition to their individual success, Amadike and Moroder teamed up in doubles competition to earn Second Team Doubles recognition with a regular-season record of 12-7.

This marks back-to-back doubles honors for Amadike and represents Idaho’s first First-Team Singles award since Francisco Bascon won three straight from 2021 through 2023. Since rejoining the Big Sky Conference in 2014 (with no awards given in 2020 due to pandemic disruptions), an Idaho player has earned First Team Singles honors eight times over eleven seasons.

Looking ahead, Idaho is set to compete in the Big Sky Conference tournament on April 23 at Phoenix, Arizona against Montana State.
